Cheang takes her camera to the streets for a candid glimpse of lesbian sexuality in public. If Asian women and lesbians both share a certain degree of invisibility in society, the film offers a bold representation of both, but also a challenge to the question “What do lesbians do?”

Shu Lea Cheang is an artist and filmmaker who engages in genre bending and gender hacking art practices. Crafting her own genre of Sci-fi New Queer Cinema, she has made 4 feature length films, FRESH KILL (1994), I.K.U. (2000), FLUIDø (2017) and UKI (2023).
