Two teenage girls navigate the uneasy boundary between friendship and romance while rehearsing for a school play over the summer holidays. When the show is banned because of their onstage kiss, one of the girls finds the courage to make a bold move on the first day of school.

Director Bio
Steve Li, a Hong Kong writer-director, gained recognition with his short film “Lost Pearl” (2021) at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. His latest short, “The Red Kiss” (2025), has been selected for multiple international festivals.
Amy Chan, a Hong Kong based producer, director and sound designer, co-directed “The Red Kiss”, marking her directorial debut.
