Director and cinematographer Shuli Huang visits his first love in Frankfurt on a dark and rainy day. In a small studio, the two men share contradictory memories of their past relationship in Beijing, pointing to tales of what could have been in weary, melancholic silences.
Shuli Huang is a Chinese writer-director and cinematographer living in New York City. His second short film, WILL YOU LOOK AT ME (2022), premiered at the 61st Semaine de la Critique where it was awarded Queer Palm of Festival de Cannes 2022, and went on to win the Short Film Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival 2023.
