This screening is followed by an online Q&A with the filmmaker Quyên Nguyen-Le, moderated by British-Vietnamese artist Will Pham.
Quyên Nguyen-Le (they/them) is a queer Vietnamese filmmaker born to refugee parents where Chumash and Tongva lands meet (San Fernando Valley, Los Ángeles). Quyên’s film work spans documentary and narrative modes of storytelling, focusing on the ways histories are deeply felt in the everyday.
This event is followed by a food club, and a selection of hot and cold snacks and beverages will be served. The menu includes: vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well as meat dishes.
