Thundergod is a narrative experimental film set in a make-believe mountain village isolated from the outside world by frequent lightning strikes. One day, a young woman named Aoi appears in the village with dreams of dancing at an exclusive underground club open only to lightning strike survivors.

Director Bio
Umi is a London and Tokyo-based artist and filmmaker. She creates experimental narrative films that connect personal memories with social realities, focusing on the lived histories of marginalised communities. Seeking to create cinema depicting lives that unfold outside of conventional society, she often collaborates with non-professional actors, local residents and people from her immediate surroundings.
